Regional Meeting - El Paso

The Texas Association of Healthcare Interpreters and Translators (TAHIT) is pleased to announce a regional meeting (for members and non-members) in the El Paso area in conjunction with EPITA's 15th Annual Workshop.
TAHIT Secretary, Esther Diaz and TAHIT President, Jorge U. Ungo will be presenting on "Qualifications and Certification of Healthcare Interpreters." The presentation will give an overview of the recently passed Healthcare Translator and Interpreter Qualifications Advisory Committee Law as well as the national certification efforts for healthcare interpreters. Join us on April 17th, 2010 as we discuss these important issues and how they will affect working interpreters and translators, as well as the healthcare community, in Texas.
This will also be an excellent opportunity to learn more about TAHIT, the goals of the organization and network with colleagues from across the region!
